Sr. Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Ability to read and review P&IDs and electrical drawings

· Demonstrated work experience in the Upstream/Midstream Oil and Gas Production support

· Management of third-party subcontractors/firms

· Engage in shop and field testing of switchgear and motor control center equipment

· Assist in developing electrical standards and specifications

· Apply design knowledge in medium and low-voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, VFD, and other miscellaneous equipment specifications

· Interact with other engineering disciplines, construction project management, major equipment suppliers, and clients

· Review and approve electrical design deliverables to issue for design and construction. Wiring diagrams, one-lines, electrical area classification plans, power cable and control schedules

· Knowledge of budgets, proposals, bids and budgeting concepts

· Coordinate details and miscellaneous design details with other disciplines and project management

· Apply standard engineering design principles to the extent appropriate

· Experience in electrical modeling programs (SKM, ETAP, etc.) for use to conduct power studies, short-circuit calculations, coordination studies, arc flash calculations, and troubleshooting if required.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

· 5 or more years of applicable experience in oil and gas industry

· Specification of low and medium voltage equipment (switchgears, transformers, VFDs, etc.)

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required

· Texas PE licensure required

· Extensive knowledge of pertinent industry codes is required

· Proven success in developing and executing projects, including objectives, scope, schedule and deliverables.

· Tenacious, results oriented approach to work, with high quality work standards.
